StrongArm gas charged lift supports are custom engineered and manufactured beyond industry standards to provide smooth operation and durability. The hardened chromium plated steel shaft is precision ground and polished for superior corrosion resistance and leak free sealing. The self cleaning piston assembly automatically opens during each compression cycle to keep the orifice clear of fluid contaminants and provide smoother operation and reliable performance. Most units also utilize StrongArm's patented temperature compensation module valve which ensures consistent operation even in extreme weather conditions. It does so by compensating for normal gas pressure changes caused by temperature variations. The metallic upper bushing is manufactured with bearing quality precision to provide exact fit with pistion rod and promote a long operating life. |

Finally! |
These are a perfect fit for my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was an easy install and they work perfectly. And felt really good to toss the 2x4 that I'd been using to prop the door open.
Many thanks to the reviewers who recommended this female Torx socket set. The E8 socket was the one I needed, and I ordered everything together so they arrived on the same day. (It's always good to finish a project with no extra trips to the store.)

Great Product, Easy Install |

This is the same product they had at my local NAPA store, but at a lower price. Installation was easy (required E8 external torx socket that was hard to find on its own). Lifts great. |

Door, glass or hood. These work! |

I bought 3 different sizes for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. These are pretty easy to replace, but they are really strong. I have no problem at all now with the heavy rear door. I actually just pop the handle and start to open the hatch door, then these take over and raise it up. Buy them without hesitation. |

Excellente product |

This product is excellent, very easy to install, it tooks me about 20 minutes to replace the 2 Glass lifts and the 2 Liftgates. Highly recommended. |

Perfect Fit |
|
These struts are identical to the original struts in my Jeep. Replaced within 10 minutes, although you do need a special socket to remove the E-type screws that attach the struts to the vehicle. Note that there are struts for the Left and Right side of the liftgate. DO NOT buy struts that claim to fit either side of the liftgate. I originally bought Sachs trunk struts from a local parts shop, which were supposed to fit either left and right sides - but I needed to use a few metal washers as shims so the door would close. |
